The Baltimore Police Department updated the public July 8 about a homicide that took place three days before on the 1800 block of E. Lafayette Avenue.
According to a press release, the victim was 37-year-old Keith Hughes, Jr.
The same shooting left another man injured.
Although the update initially located the incident on the 1500 block, police told Baltimore Witness that it actually occurred on the 1800 block. Police later issued a correction.
As of Thursday, there have been 175 homicides in Baltimore in 2021.
