On April 3, at approximately 9:00 p.m., Southeast District officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) were patrolling the 2900 block of East Pratt Street when officers heard discharging.
Upon arrival, officers found 20-year-old Wilfredo Hernandez-Reyes suffering from gunshot wounds to his body. The officers attempted life-saving measures until medics arrived on the scene. The victim was transported by medics to Johns Hopkins Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
Homicide detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation.
