Homicide Detectives Seek Help Identifying Victim Found in Storage Container

On Jan. 5, at approximately 1:56 p.m., police dispatch sent Western District patrol officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) to investigate a suspicious container found at a vacant home on the 3500 block of Holmes Avenue.

When officers arrived at the location, they observed a storage container that was emanating a foul odor.

Upon further inspection, officers discovered the remains of a deceased male inside the container. The Medical Examiner’s Office collected the remains for the purpose of autopsy and ruled the manner of death homicide. 

Homicide investigators need the public’s help identifying the victim. The victim is a person of color, with long dread-locked hair and multiple tattoos. Composite sketches of the tattoos may help investigators learn the victim’s identity.
