Homicide Detectives Investigate Death of 5-Year-Old Girl

A 5-year-old girl was killed earlier this week after Baltimore Police Department officers found her unresponsive at a home on Pelham Avenue.

Police were called to the home on the 2800 block of Pelham Avenue shortly after 6:20 p.m. on Nov. 15 and attempted life-saving medical aid on Nivea Anderson, a news release states. Medics arrived and took Anderson to Johns Hopkins Pediatrics where she was later pronounced dead.

Police said Anderson was found with bruises on her face from prior abuse.
