The jury trial of homicide defendant Nathan Brown was rescheduled for this April after the court was notified his defense attorney had Covid-19.

The 32-year-old defendant is currently charged with first-degree murder, firearm use in a felony or violent crime and firearm possession with a felony conviction in connection to an incident on April 6, 2023.

Brown was scheduled to appear for his jury trial on Jan. 9 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jeannie J. Hong; however, Deborah Levi, a defense attorney standing in for Benjamin Charlton, informed the court that Charlton was out sick.

The case was then sent to Judge Melissa K. Copeland’s reception court, where counsel agreed to reschedule the four-day trial for April 9 before Judge Troy Hill.
