A 40-year-old Baltimore man had his hearing rescheduled in reception court on Oct. 18 to November before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.

Theodore Johnson is charged with first-degree murder, use of a firearm during a felony violent crime, possession of a firearm with a felony conviction, and having a handgun on his person in connection to an incident on June 16.

According to CBS News, at 8:15 p.m., officers were called to the 3500 block of W. Caton Avenue for reports of a shooting. There they found William Christian suffering from a gunshot to the head.

Christian was transported to a trauma center, where he was later pronounced dead. Investigators believe Christian was shot after an argument, police said.

The prosecutor had no plea to offer the defendant and noted that all the evidence was sent to the defense; however, she is still waiting for Emergency Medical Service (EMS) records and reports.

Johnson’s defense counsel Chris Purpura informed the court that he had received the evidence related to the case.

Johnson’s next hearing is scheduled for Nov. 30.
