Homicide Defendant’s Hearing Postponed Due to Attorney Not Being Present

The collateral hearing for a 24-year-old Baltimore man was postponed on Aug. 22 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Charles Peters

Leon Lomax was convicted of second-degree murder in March in connection to an incident on June 17, 2015. 

Lomax’s hearing was postponed due to his defense attorney, Shomari Taylor, being out of the office on vacation. 

Lomax also pleaded guilty to attempted second-degree murder and firearm use during a felony violent crime. in 2016. He was sentenced to serve 12 years in prison, according to the Maryland Judiciary.

Lomax’s hearing was rescheduled for Nov. 21.
