On April 10, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland set a trial date for 30-year-old Kwante Betters.
Betters is charged with first-degree murder, firearm use in a felony violent crime and firearm possession with a felony conviction in connection to an incident on Sept. 3, 2023.
Judge Copeland set a trial date for Sept. 19 to resolve scheduling conflicts between all the parties. The trial is expected to last for five days. Betters will appear with his attorney Brandon Thornton in front of Judge Yolanda A. Tanner.
