Hearings Cancelled for 3 Attempted Murder Defendants

Three attempted murder hearings scheduled for reception court at the Baltimore City Circuit Court on Jan. 3 were cancelled due to a winter storm that swept through the city. 

Among those scheduled was Dorain Griffin, 26, who is charged with first-degree attempted murder, conspiracy to first-degree murder, first-degree assault, conspiracy to first-degree assault, use of a firearm in a violent crime, conspiracy to use a firearm in a violent crime, and reckless endangerment in connection to an incident on May 29, 2020. 

Michael Reed, 18, was also scheduled, facing charges of first and second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, use of a firearm in a violent crime, reckless endangerment, possession of a firearm as a minor, four counts of illegal possession of a regulated firearm, having a loaded handgun on his person, having a handgun on his person, discharging firearms, two counts of wearing/carrying/transporting a handgun within 100 yards of a school, and illegal possession of ammo in connection to an incident on Nov. 24, 2020. 

A hearing for Tramon Wright, 17, who is charged with two counts of first-degree attempted murder, two counts of second-degree attempted murder, two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of second-degree assault, two counts of use of a firearm in a violent crime, two counts of possession of a firearm as a minor, two counts of reckless endangerment, and discharging firearms in connection to an incident on July 14, 2021, was also cancelled.  

As of the afternoon on Jan. 3, the Maryland Judiciary website did not indicate when or if the hearings would be rescheduled.
