Gwynn Oak Man Confesses to Murdering A Woman

A 44-year-old Gwynn Oak man has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held after he allegedly shot a 27-year-old on April 19.

According to a press release from the Baltimore Police Department, around 4:30 a.m. on April 19, police found Nikea Jackson shot on the 700 block of Woodbourne Avenue. She was taken to Sinai Hospital, where she died shortly after.

Prior to her death, Jackson gave police information that led to the arrest of Daya Jones. The suspect was arrested on April 23 on the 7900 block of Pulaski Highway. Jones later confessed to shooting Jackson and was taken to Central Booking where he is being held without bail.
