On April 26, at around 3:30 p.m., Baltimore Police Department officers were patrolling near the area of Laurens Street and Carey Street when they heard discharging.

Upon canvassing the area, officers received a ShotSpotter alert for the 1300 block of North Woodyear Street. Officers responded to that location and observed an unidentified juvenile female suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where she would receive treatment for her injury.

Western District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
