A Georgia man charged with first-degree murder had his case nolle pros by the prosecutor on Nov. 15 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Cynthia H. Jones.
The prosecutor entered a nolle pros in the case against Alejandro Gonzalez due to the key witness not being found
Gonzalez, 39, was charged with first-degree murder, use of a firearm during a violent crime, and having a loaded handgun on his person in connection to the incident on Sept. 4, 2021.
According to a news release, at 8:30 p.m. officers were called to the 5000 block of Corley Road for reports of a shooting. There officers found 26-year-old Travis Ben-Watkins with multiple gunshots.
Medics took Ben-Watkins to Sinai Hospital for treatment, but he died shortly after arriving.
