Eastern District Shooting Victim Pronounced Dead on the Scene

On July 25, at around 9:07 p.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to the 1900 block of Greenmount Avenue to investigate a call for a shooting. 

Upon arrival, officers observed 42-year-old Christopher Williams suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Medics arrived and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene. 

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.

Editors note: The police have ruled the incident as a justified homicide. The shooter was acting in self-defense, according to the release.
