Early Evening Shooting Near Hollins Market Leaves 2 Injured, But in Stable Condition

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced a shooting investigation in the Southwest District.

On Dec. 4, at approximately 4:35 p.m., officers responded to the 1000 block of W. Lombard Street for a reported firearm discharge.

Shortly thereafter, officers were notified by two area hospitals of walk-in shooting victims seeking treatment.

Upon arrival at one hospital, officers spoke with a 23-year-old man who sustained an apparent gunshot wound to his leg. At the second, they spoke with a 22-year-old man who sustained a gunshot wound to his hand.

Both victims are listed in stable condition, and preliminary investigation indicates they were shot while on the 1000 block of W. Lombard Street.

Southwest District shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.
