E. Preston Shooting Upgraded to Homicide

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced an update regarding a shooting investigation in the Eastern District, which has now been upgraded to a homicide.

On Jun. 30, 2025, at approximately 12:55 a.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of East Preston Street for a reported shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a 33-year-old male with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

On Jul. 26, 2025, Homicide detectives were notified that the 33-year-old male victim had died as a result of his gunshot injuries and was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
