Driver, Passenger Stopped for Speeding Both Suffering Gunshot Wounds

On March 30, at around 3:51 a.m., Baltimore Police Department officers were conducting traffic enforcement on the 500 block of West Mulberry Street when they observed a vehicle traveling above the area’s proper speed limit. Officers initiated a car stop on the speeding vehicle and encountered the driver and passenger of the vehicle.

Both individuals, a 44-year-old male and a 45-year-old male, were suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Medics transported both victims to an area hospital to receive treatment for their injuries.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victims were shot on the 2700 block of West Franklin Street.

Southwest District Shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
