A 28-year-old man charged in a downtown Baltimore shooting from last November received a trial date in reception court on March 28.
Sami Haroon is charged with attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment and firearm use for critically wounding a man on the 300 block of W. Lombard Street during the early morning hours of Nov. 22, 2025.
During the reception court hearing, Haroon’s attorney informed the court that defense counsel has yet to review certain evidence, as several documents were only disclosed the night prior.
Prosecutors agreed to keep a plea on the table that consisted of 60 years, suspending all but five, and five years of supervised probation upon release.
Haroon is now is set to stand trial beginning June 10 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge M. Brooke Murdock, with three days allotted for proceedings.
