Detectives Seek Information in Southwest District Non-Fatal Shooting

On Sept. 14, at approximately 12:36 a.m., a Southwest District officer was on routine patrol when he was flagged down by an adult female, stating she had been shot.

Medics responded to the scene and transported the victim, a 27-year-old female, to an area hospital, where her injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

Investigators learned that the victim was driving in the area of Payson and Lexington Street, when she heard gunfire and realized she had been hit.

Southwest District detectives are asking anyone with information to contact Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
