Detectives Looking for Answers in Homer Avenue Non-Fatal Shooting Case

On June 29, at approximately 4:12 p.m., officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to the intersection of Homer Avenue and Wylie Avenue to investigate a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 59-year-old male suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his leg. Officers on the scene applied a tourniquet to the victim’s leg as medics arrived. The victim was transported by medics to an area hospital where he is receiving treatment for his injury.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot on the 4500 block of Homer Avenue.  

Northwest District shooting detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
