Detectives Launches Investigation into Shooting Homicide of Juvenile in Southeast District

On March 6, at approximately 2:00 p.m., officers with the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) were dispatched to the 5900 block of East Pratt Street to investigate a reported shooting.

Upon arriving at the location, officers observed 16-year-old Izaiah Carter suffering from gunshot wounds to the head.

Medics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 2:39 p.m.

Homicide detectives were notified and assumed control of the investigation.
