Detectives Investigating Fatal Curtis Bay Shooting

The Baltimore Police Department (BPD) announced an update regarding a homicide investigation in the Southern District.

On July 19, at approximately 2:48 p.m., a Southern District officer was flagged down by a citizen to report a shooting.

Officers entered a residence in the 1500 block of Olmstead Street and located a 64-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to his extremity. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Despite medical efforts, the male was pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives assumed control over the investigation.
