Detectives investigate 61-Year-Old Walk-In Shooting Victim in Northeast District

On Jan. 22, at approximately 7:53 a.m., Northeast District officers for the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) were dispatched to an area hospital to investigate a walk-in gunshot wound victim seeking treatment.

When officers arrived at the location, they observed a 61-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries and later released.

Northeast District shooting detectives have assumed control over the investigation. The victim told investigators that while walking near the intersection of York Road and East Cold Spring Lane he was wounded after hearing gunfire.
