In reference to the homicide that occurred in the Northeast District on March 1, Baltimore Police Department investigators have arrested 23-year-old Derek Steele of Baltimore.
Detectives learned that Steele fatally shot 55-year-old Johnny Small while on the 5300 block of Frankford Avenue, following a dispute.
On March 11, with the assistance of Foxtrot, Northeast and Southwest District Action Team officers arrested Derek Steele while on the 1700 block of West Baltimore Street. Steele is currently being held at the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with first-degree murder.
Steele is currently being held without bail.
