Timothy Perkins Jr., 32, rejected a plea deal on Feb. 11 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa K. Copeland.
Perkins faces 19 charges, including attempted first-degree murder and three counts each of attempted second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, firearm use in a felony or violent crime, and reckless endangerment. He is also charged with possession of a firearm during a crime of violence and in connection to a controlled dangerous substance, and having a handgun on his person.
The prosecution offered a plea deal of 50 years, suspending all but 25, the first five without parole. The sentence would be followed by five years of probation and no contact with the victims.
Defense attorney Lawrence Rosenberg spoke on behalf of Perkins, calling the plea deal “unacceptable.”
Judge Copeland scheduled a jury trial for April 16 before Judge Yvette M. Bryant.
