On Feb. 28, Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn rescheduled the trial of a Baltimore man charged with the murder of 31-year-old James Moore.
During Tuesday’s hearing, defendant Ronnie Harris Jr., who is represented by Andre Mahasa, rejected a plea of life, suspending all but 50 years for first-degree murder, use of a firearm in a felony violent crime, and witness intimidation.
Harris, 39, is charged as a co-defendant alongside Morgan Reed with first-degree murder, use of a firearm in a felony violent crime, having a handgun on his person, possession of a firearm with a felony conviction, and witness intimidation in connection with the fatal shooting of Moore on Jan. 31, 2022.
Mahasa informed the court that Maureen O’Leary, who represents Reed, 41, was unable to move forward with day one of trial due to health concerns related to Covid.
Judge Phinn rescheduled the defendant’s trial for Aug. 9 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jeannie J. Hong.
