Ronald Hogg III, 20, and his co-defendant, an unnamed juvenile, appeared before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jeffrey M. Geller on Sept. 22 for a hearing to join their cases for trial.

Hogg is charged with attempted first- and second-degree murder, first-degree assault, armed robbery, conspiracy to carjack, and multiple firearm-related offenses for allegedly shooting a victim in the leg on March 11.

The victim advised responding officers he was shot on the 1000 block of N. Central Avenue. One 9mm shell casing and a broken cellphone case were recovered from near a 2003 silver Honda Accord on the scene.

Hogg and his juvenile co-defendant were allegedly seen on surveillance cameras walking from the Eager Super Market to the Honda Accord, where they argued with the victim before appearing to shoot him.

The prosecution mentioned that evidence made available for trial would include surveillance footage that showed one of the defendants with a gun and the other acting as an accomplice.

A trial date had been scheduled for Oct. 17, but due to scheduling conflicts with attorneys and the juvenile defendant’s speedy trial deadline, parties will reconvene Sept. 23 before Judge Melissa K. Copeland to set a mutually agreeable trial date.
