A 22-year-old Baltimore man accused of fatally stabbing a man after an argument rejected a plea of life in prison on Dec. 6 at Baltimore City Circuit Court.
Jeramey Barron is charged with first-degree murder in connection to the death of 28-year-old James Brown on Sept. 5, 2020.
According to CBS Baltimore, Baltimore Police Department officers were called to the victim’s home on the 3800 block of Brooklyn Avenue around 12:40 a.m. when they found Brown with multiple stab wounds. Barron was later arrested and charged in March.
On Monday, the defendant was offered a plea of life for first-degree murder before his defense attorney, Brandon Patterson, and Judge Melissa M. Phinn.
Barron is scheduled for trial on July 11, 2022.
