Alan Geslicki, 33, pleaded guilty to the brutal murder of six-year-old Seron O’Neal before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Barry G. Williams on Feb. 10.

The incident occurred on Jan. 23, 2024 inside a home on the 2000 block of Deering Avenue occupied by Geslicki’s former girlfriend and her two children, including O’Neal.

The defendant claimed to be intoxicated at the time of the stabbing.

Geslicki was charged with first-degree murder, first-degree child abuse resulting in the death of a child under 13, first-degree child abuse resulting in severe physical injury and possession of a deadly weapon with intent to injure.

Defense attorney Koryn N. High and Geslicki accepted the state’s plea offer of life, suspending all but 45 years, with a maximum of 60 years. Geslicki also faces five years of supervised probation and will be required to stay away from the victim’s family upon release.

“You seemed to understand a lot for someone claiming to be crazy,” one of the victim’s family members yelled as officials escorted the defendant out of the courtroom.

Geslicki’s disposition hearing has been postponed to March 18.
