A homicide defendant was found competent and criminally responsible to stand trial for the murder of 28-year-old Mason Moldoven before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Gale Rasin on May 3.

During Wednesday’s mental health court hearing, Judge Rasin indicated without unreasonable doubt that defendant Timothy Callanan, who is represented by defense attorney Tony Garcia, is competent to stand trial.

Callanan’s trial date is yet to be determined.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Callanan is accused of killing Moldoven and stuffing her body in a plastic container on the 1100 block of Gorsuch Avenue.

Callanan is charged with first-degree murder in connection to the murder of Moldover on Aug. 29, 2020, according to the Maryland Judiciary website.
