A Baltimore man involved in an attempted murder accepts a plea of 10 years on March 8 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.
Donelle Griffin, 35, is charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, first and second-degree assault, firearm use during a felony crime, firearm possession with a felony conviction, having a handgun on his person, discharging a firearm and two charges of reckless endangerment in connection to an incident on May 10, 2020.
Judge Phinn listened as the prosecutor presented a plea of 30 years, suspending all but 10 years with 3 years supervised probation for attempted second-degree murder, and 10 years, the first 5 years without parole, for use of a firearm during a violent crime. The charges are set to run concurrently.
Under the plea, Griffin must also register as a gun offender.
