Convicted Assault Defendant Sentenced for 2021 Non-Fatal Shooting

On Nov. 7, a Baltimore man found guilty of assault was sentenced before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Cynthia H. Jones.

Corey Pointer was sentenced to 25 years, suspending all but 15 years, with five years of supervised probation for first-degree assault and 15 years for robbery, to be served concurrently.

The last two charges are still pending a sentencing date and the case is currently in sub-curia.

In July, Pointer, 26, was found guilty of first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, robbery, possession with intent to distribute, and second-degree assault and firearm use during a drug trafficking crime.
