Charges Dropped Against 24-Year-Old Attempted Homicide Defendant

A 24-year-old man charged with attempted homicide had all charges dropped by the prosecutor on March 11 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Barry G. Williams.

Antione Massey was charged with first and second-degree attempted murder, first and second-degree assault, two counts of reckless endangerment, use of a firearm during a violent crime, conspiracy to first-degree murder, conspiracy to first and second-degree assault, and conspiracy to use of a firearm during a violent crime in connection to an incident on April 22, 2021.

During court proceedings on Friday, Judge Williams listened as the prosecutor entered a dismissal of all charges. No reasons for the dismissal were discussed.

Massey was represented by defense attorney Euphus Belu-John.

According to Shore News Network, Baltimore Police Department officers were called to the 2000 block of West Pratt at approximately 1:46 p.m. for reports of a shooting, where they found an adult man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
