The attempted homicide case against 22-year-old Sherrod Ware was dismissed on Dec. 16 at the prosecution’s request.

Ware originally went to trial in July 2022 for charges of attempted murder and assault, in addition to three weapons charges. The defendant was found not guilty of first-degree assault; however, a mistrial was declared for the remaining charges.

During a hearing before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Martin Schreiber on Friday, the prosecution requested to dismiss the remaining charges against Ware, which the judge granted.

The defendant was represented by defense attorney James Scott.
