Central District Launches Shooting Investigation

Central District shooting detectives for the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) have reported the shooting of a 50-year-old male on Jan. 15.

On Sunday, at approximately 1:55 a.m., Central District patrol officers were patrolling the 1000 block of Park Avenue when they were flagged down by the victim as he suffered from an apparent gunshot wound to the left shoulder.

The victim stated to officers that he was in the 300 block of Franklin Street, walking to his car when a known suspect shot him.

The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
