A 58-year-old homicide defendant’s case was not called during reception court on March 1 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.
George Pullett is charged with first-degree murder, attempted first and second-degree murder, first-degree assault, possession of a firearm with a felony conviction, and two counts of firearm use during a violent crime in connection to an incident on May 21, 2020.
Initially, Pullet rejected a plea offer of life for first-degree murder, firearm use during a violent crime, and attempted first-degree murder. He was also offered a plea of 15 years, the first five years without parole, to be served consecutively in another case involving firearm charges which was rejected as well on Aug. 31, 2021.
According to court documents, on the day of the incident, officers were called to the 100 block of S. Morley Street for reports of a shooting. On arrival, officers found two victims with gunshot wounds, one of the victim’s was a woman with a gunshot to her torso and the second victim, 54-year-old Randolph Watson was found unresponsive with a gunshot to his head and back.
Pullett’s next hearing is scheduled for July 27.
