The case of a Baltimore man charged with first-degree murder was not called during reception court on Jan. 6 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa Phinn.
Marquis Poteat, 33, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, use of a firearm in a violent crime, and having a handgun on his person in connection to an incident on Jan. 29, 2021.
According to the Baltimore Sun, on Jan. 29, 2021, Baltimore Police Department officers were called to the 4400 block of Moravia Road after reports of shots fired and found MTA driver Frankye Duckett fatally shot. Poteat and another man, Ernest Ford, were arrested and charged for Duckett’s murder, police said.
