Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Cynthia H. Jones dismissed the shooting case against 21-year-old Elijah Stanley on June 16 because of an issue with the prosecution’s witnesses.
Stanley was charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and assault, attempted first-degree murder and assault, and related firearm violations in connection to an incident that occurred at the intersection of the 2300 block of McElderry Street and the 600 block of N. Montford Avenue on March 2, 2024.
In previous hearings, the majority of the prosecution’s evidence was suppressed. The prosecution also attempted to subpoena two witnesses who were crucial to their argument, but the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) was unable to serve the subpoenas.
As of June 16, no other hearings have been scheduled in this case.
