The case of an attempted murder defendant accused of shooting the boyfriend of his child’s mother was dismissed on June 27 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Robert Taylor.
The reason behind the dismissal was not discussed during Tuesday’s proceedings.
Defendant Isaac Baylis Jr. was facing attempted murder, assault, and weapons charges in connection to the incident on Aug. 27, 2022.
According to charging documents, Baltimore Police were called to the 700 block of Glenwood Avenue and found the victim suffering from two gunshot wounds.
After speaking with the victim’s girlfriend, police learned that the victim and the father of his girlfriend’s child, later identified as Baylis, had an argument earlier in the day. Baylis later returned to the couple’s home where more words were exchanged before the defendant shooting the victim.
