Due to unspecified complications with one of the prosecution’s witnesses on June 9, parties agreed to dismiss the case of Travis Turner before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Cynthia H. Jones.

Turner, 34, is charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree burglary and assault, home invasion, robbery and multiple firearm-related offenses for allegedly injuring two victims in a Jan. 25, 2024 shooting.

According to charging documents, at approximately 5:11 p.m., Western District patrol responded to the 1100 block of Bolton Street to investigate a reported shooting. Upon arrival, they located a 58-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on the sixth floor and transported him to an area hospital for treatment.

Turner allegedly demanded money and jewelry from one of the victims, who had let him into their apartment. Shortly after, three men in masks entered the apartment, demanding to know the locations of any safes they owned.

While the suspects were in the apartment, a second knock was heard at the door. The suspects responded by opening it and allegedly firing shots at the individual.

Turner and the other masked men allegedly fled in a 2006 Volvo XC70 that was later found to be involved in a previous hit-and-run incident. Area surveillance footage that captured the hit-and-run showed the suspects exiting the car wearing the similar clothes from the day of the shooting.

Investigators showed still photographs from the hit-and-run footage to both victims, who positively identified Turner as one of the suspects.

No further hearings are scheduled in this case.
