BPD Open Investigation in Saybrook Avenue Murder

On Feb. 1, at approximately 10:51 p.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to the 5200 block of Saybrook Avenue to investigate a call for a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers observed 46-year-old Charles Banks suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. Medics transported the victim to an area hospital where, despite life-saving measures, he was pronounced deceased.

Homicide detectives responded and assumed control over this investigation.
