BPD Arrests Suspect in 2022 Fatal Stabbing

On Nov. 16, 2022, at approximately 9:03 p.m.,  Northwest District patrol officers responded to a home on the 1100 block of North Ellamont Street for a report of a stabbing.

Once there, Baltimore Police Department officers located the victim, 25-year-old Michael Jackson, suffering from apparent stab wounds to the body.

The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he later died.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives learned that the suspect, Melvin Moore, fatally stabbed the victim during a dispute. 

On March 13, investigators arrested 43-year-old Melvin Moore while on the 900 block of West Saratoga Street. Moore was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with first-degree murder. Currently, Moore is being held without bail.
