BPD Announce Warrant for Suspect in Murder of Pava LaPere

Baltimore, Md. (Sept. 26, 2023) – Acting Commissioner Richard Worley, Mayor Brandon M. Scott and State’s Attorney Ivan Bates announce that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of 32-year-old Jason Dean Billingsley of Baltimore.

Billingsley is wanted for first-degree murder in the killing of 26-year-old Pava LaPere.

Billingsley was previously arrested in 2013, 2011 and 2009 for multiple charges including a sex offense, second-degree assault and robbery.

BPD’s Special Investigations Section are working to determine potential connections to Mr. Billingsley and other cases.

The Warrant Apprehension Task Force, alongside the U.S. Marshals’ Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force are actively attempting to apprehend this suspect.  

Billingsley is considered armed and dangerous. Please contact 911 if you come in contact with this individual or have any further information.
