On April 30, at approximately 4:24 p.m., Southeast District patrol officers for the Baltimore Police Department (BPD) responded to a business on the 2500 block of Boston Street for a report of a shooting.

Once there, officers located a 23-year-old Fabian Alberto Sanchez Gonzalez suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment and later died from his injuries on May 1.

Preliminary investigation revealed that two unidentified black males entered the business and announced a robbery. During the course of the robbery, one of the suspects shot a store employee. The suspects then demanded the property of several patrons of the store before fleeing the location on foot.

On May 5, the BPD announced that they arrested a suspect, Arthur McCaden, in connection to the homicide of Gonzalez.

Southeast District detectives are asking anyone with information to contact them at 410-396-2422 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
