Bicyclist Dies in Western District Hit and Run

On Feb. 4, at approximately 12:25 a.m., Baltimore Police Department officers responded to the intersection of West Franklin Street and Payson Street to investigate a call for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. 

Upon arrival, officers were advised that an unidentified vehicle had struck a 47-year-old male on a bicycle who was crossing at the intersection of West Franklin Street and Payson Street. The striking vehicle had fled the scene, leaving the 47-year-old male suffering from life-threatening injuries. Medics arrived on the scene and attempted life-saving measures. However, he was pronounced deceased on the scene. 

CRASH team investigators responded and assumed control over this investigation.
