A first-degree murder defendant was found guilty accompanied by his defense attorney, Michael Cooper, in front of Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Jennifer B. Schiffer.
Keith Anderson, 45, was charged with first-degree murder, firearm use in a felony violent crime and possession of a firearm with a felony conviction for a murder that occurred at a BP gas station located on the 1900 block of Belair Road on June 22, 2022.
According to previous coverage, Anderson allegedly killed 29-year old Markeece Jordan. Anderson’s trial focused on evidence found on his cell phone, indicating that he around the crime scene during the time Jordan was shot. The finding was corroborated by video surveillance footage.
On May 30, a guilty verdict was rendered against Anderson for first-degree murder, firearm use in a felony violent crime and possession of a firearm with a felony conviction.
Anderson’s sentencing date is scheduled for Sept. 17.
