Baltimore Records 200th Homicide in 2021

Baltimore City marked its 200th and 201st homicide victims in 2021 on Aug. 5.

According to a press release, the victims, who were fatally shot on the 4300 block of Flowerton Road, have not yet been identified.

Baltimore Police officers were reportedly called to the scene around 8:15 p.m. on Thursday. Upon arrival, they found the two men unresponsive and with multiple gunshot wounds.

Both victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Police updated the public around 10:45 p.m. that one of the victims had been pronounced dead, recording the 200th homicide in the city in 2021.

By Friday around 9 a.m., the second victim had died as well.

Baltimore’s 200th homicide of 2020 also fell on Aug. 5, according to Fox Baltimore.
