The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a shooting in the morning of Aug. 3. 

According to a news release, patrol officers were called to the 600 block of N. Luzerne Street around 9:45 a.m. for reports of a shooting, where a 46-year-old man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. 

Medics transported the victim to an area hospital, where he is listed in serious condition.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was shot on East Monument at North Rose Street, by an unidentified suspect.
