The Baltimore Police Department is investigating a shooting in the afternoon of July 17.
According to a news release, officers were called to the 2700 block of West Fairmount Avenue around 2:08 p.m. for reports of a shooting, where a 35-year-old man was found suffering from a gunshot to the abdomen.
The victim was transported to an area hospital by ambulance.
Southwest District Shooting detectives were summoned and assumed control over the investigation. Anyone that has information about this incident is urged to contact detectives at (410)396-2488.
