According to a news release, patrol officers were called to the 200 block of S. Augusta Avenue at 3:18 p.m. for reports of a shooting, where a 30-year-old man was found suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Medics transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the 30-year-old male victim and the suspect were involved in a dispute when the 36-year-old male suspect shot the victim.
The suspect then left that location and called police from an area business to advise them as to what occurred.
Southwest District detectives are currently interviewing the suspect. Anyone with information is urged to contact detectives at 410-396-2488 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
