A defendant involved in a non-fatal shooting rejected a plea offer on Aug. 30 before Baltimore City Circuit Court Judge Melissa M. Phinn.
The 20-year-old defendant was charged with being a minor in possession of a firearm, having a handgun on his person, having a handgun in a vehicle, reckless endangerment, illegal possession of ammo, and discharging firearms.
He was charged in connection to an incident on July 1, 2020.
Judge Phinn listened as the prosecutor presented a plea of three years for illegal possession of ammo and one year, which would run consecutively to his charges in another handgun case. In addition, a third case would be dismissed involving more handgun charges against the defendant.
The defendant and his defense attorney, Staci Pipkin, rejected the plea offer.
The trial date is set for Dec. 3.
